Divan has been a fixture of Istanbul dining since 1956, and the Beyoğlu brasserie is its more relaxed branch — an all-day room on İstiklal where the same kitchen standards apply to a simpler menu.
The range runs from Turkish classics to European brasserie dishes, and it works at any hour: breakfast, a long lunch, or dinner after the shops close. The pastry counter is the other reason people come; Divan’s chocolate and its lokum have been made to the same recipes for decades.
Open daily from morning until late. Reservations are useful at weekends but not essential otherwise.
Five minutes from The Soul Hotel, which makes it the practical answer when nobody can agree on where to eat.
