Olive Anatolian Restaurant is at Ebusuud Caddesi No:12 in Sirkeci, on the rooftop of Hotel Yasmak Sultan. From The Soul Hotel it is about twenty minutes by tram or ferry, and both hotels belong to Yasmak Hotel Collection.
It works well as the end of a day spent on the historic peninsula. The a la carte menu rests on Ottoman and Anatolian recipes: olive oil mezes, hand-made manti, slow-cooked lamb, Bosphorus fish and traditional desserts. Vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are not gathered into a separate section but sit within the menu.
Vegan menu
A separate vegan menu is prepared for guests eating entirely plant-based. Every dish on it is plant-based; no dairy and no eggs are used. Olive oil dishes, mezes, grain salads and keskek form the core, and vegetarians can choose from it as well.
Drinks
The drinks list gives weight to Turkish vineyards. The selection reaches from the Aegean to Thrace and from Central to Eastern Anatolia, with native grapes such as Okuzgozu, Bogazkere, Kalecik Karasi and Narince beside international varieties. Signature cocktails, a raki table, whisky and cognac, and alcohol-free cocktails are also available.
Allergies or particular dietary preferences only need to be mentioned when booking.
Book for the late afternoon and the silhouette of the old city and the Bosphorus appear from the same table.
