İstinye Park opened in 2007 in the Sarıyer district and is where Istanbul goes for luxury retail. Around three hundred stores, with a section of international houses — Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Dior — that has no equivalent elsewhere in the city.
The design is unusual for a mall: a glass-roofed central court and an open-air bazaar section modelled loosely on a covered market, which makes a long visit less claustrophobic than it might be. There is a cinema, and the restaurant level has proper kitchens rather than a food court.
Open daily 10:00 to 22:00.
From The Soul Hotel it is about thirty-five minutes by taxi along the Bosphorus, or M2 metro to Sarıyer with a short connection. The drive itself is worth something — it follows the shoreline most of the way.
