Salon IKSV is the concert hall of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, and at around three hundred seats it is small enough that the back row is still close to the stage. The programme runs from contemporary classical and jazz to electronic sets and new Turkish music.
Because the foundation also organises the city’s film, music, theatre and jazz festivals, the hall often hosts festival events between seasons. Tickets are sold online and the schedule is published a month or two ahead.
Concerts usually start at eight or nine. From The Soul Hotel it is a walk of about nine minutes towards Sishane.
