The Soul Istanbul enjoys
excellent public transport links in the heart of Beyoglu. Taksim Square, with
the M2 metro line and the Taksim to Kabatas funicular, is within easy reach,
and the Sishane metro station near Galata is also close by. From these you
can quickly connect across the city, including to the airports via metro
links.
Down the hill towards the water, the historic Tunel
funicular and the T1 tram at Karakoy connect you to the historic peninsula
and Sultanahmet, while ferries from Karakoy and nearby Kabatas cross the
Bosphorus to the Asian side and link to scenic Bosphorus routes. The
nostalgic tram runs along Istiklal Avenue, just a short walk
away.
Many of Beyoglu’s highlights, including Galata Tower,
Istiklal Avenue, Cukurcuma and Cihangir, are within comfortable walking
distance, so you often will not need transport at all. Taxis are readily
available in the area, and our concierge can always arrange a private car
when you prefer.
